Baron, Frances Gertrude, "Fran" (nee:Grotsky), age 89, of Fort Lee, passed on Thanksgiving Day Thursday, November 23. She was born in Los Angeles, California to Benjamin and Freda Grotsky. For 45 years she was the personal assistant to Alan V. Tishman of Tishman Realty and Management Co. of New York City. In 1966 she was one of the first tenants to move into her company's newest development, the famous Horizon House Apartments and remained there for the next 50 years. A career minded business woman who was ahead of her time, in her later years she was devoted to her grandchildren, the community and her charitable giving. She is survived by her daughter Julie Ferrara, son-in-law James and grandchildren Luc and Sophie, as well as her step-daughter Linda Kern and her husband Gary and their son Brett, and her step-son Steven Baron and his wife Luz and his son Jordan. Services will be held Wednesday, November 29 at 2 pm at the Sanctuary of Abraham & Sarah in Paramus, NJ. If so desired donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
