Obituary of Bertha Kahn

Bertha Kahn, 99, resident of BrightView Tenafly NJ, passed away on July 7, 2018 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at Eden Memorial in Fort Lee, NJ on July 10 at 11:30 AM with Rabbi Steven Sirbu of Temple Emeth officiating.  Burial will follow at Beth Moses Cemetery, West Babylon, NY. 

Bertha was born in Brooklyn, NY to Jacob and Anna Miller on May 4, 1919. She held a Masters Degrees in Education and taught Third and Fifth Grade in the Commack School District.  She was an avid reader and was a co-founder and co-president of the Concordia chapter of Brandeis National Committee.

Bertha is survived by children Shelley Goodman, Larry Kahn, and Robert Kahn, brother Bernard Miller, grandchildren Melanie Goodman, Michelle Goodman Quantock, Corey Kahn, Emily Kahn, Joshua Kahn, Mara Miller, Sarabeth Morofsky, and Rebecca Morofsky, and great-grandchildren Chloe, Eli, Logan, and Sophia. She is preceded in death by husband Ernest Kahn, child Stephen Goodman, and brother Richard Miller.

Memorial donations may be made to Brandeis National Committee or American Diabetes Association.
