I got to know Faith while I was a Penn Med student, class of 1997. She help sponsor medical student attendance at a women in medicine dinner. I was assigned to write her a thank you note. I remarked that it must have been very different being a woman in the Class of 1942 We struck up a correspondence and she invited my now-husband and me to come visit her at the beach. We wound up doing so a few times until we moved away to Atlanta in 2001. She talked fondly about her family and career and was a very special person indeed.

Hi Family members I just want to share my relationship with Faith. I arrived in 1977 in Morristown to practice pediatric neurology. I had no coverage and was working 24/.7 until I ran into Faith. She told me that if I kept going this way I might get burnt out. When I replied that no one would cover me she volunteered. So started our coverage and friendship. I would cover her when she went to her beloved summer home for 1 month. It was remarkable to see a women physician practicing daily without any coverage!
Subsequently I was able to get more coverage but Faith stuck it out until Stuart Fox and the Late Ken Cerney arrived in town to start a practice in Neurology.
On a personal note she was always pleasant with a smile handing over cases that she cared for in my absence and never complained about the difficult parents!.
I lost contact with her after she left Morristwon but heard that she was practicing in Woodbury. NJ. I know that all her patients loved her gentle manners.
May God Bless her soul and may it rest in peace.
Please accept my heartfelt condolence.

In the late 1950's, Dr. Walsh treated my late brother with special kindness, even driving from her vacation on the shore up to Morristown at a moment's notice. At one point, she sent me money during financial struggles in college. She always held a special place in my heart. I very much regret that I never had the opportunity to thank her in her later years. My deep condolences to her family.
