I have been an email correspondent with Doug for many years and had built a warm and close friendship with him. I had found him to be a kind and generous person with his time and knowledge. We both shared a love of the written word. I will sorely miss our many exchanges. I can only regret that we never met in person. My condolences to your family and all of his loving friends.
