Obituary
Obituary of Arleen Muchnick
Please share a memory of Arleen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Arleen Janet Muchnick was born on May 20, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY. Arleen was the first daughter of Gertie and Teddy Berger and was loved dearly from the minute she was born. In 1974, Arleen married Barry Muchnick and was blessed with his three beautiful children as she and Barry began their 46-year long marriage. Two years later, Arleen gave birth to Jaime, who she always called "my child." Arleen and her family lived in Hillsdale, near the party goods store she and Barry owned prior to their 1998 retirement. At that time, they moved to Florida where they lived happily and kept busy for 20 years. Together, they made their way back to New Jersey in January of 2020 to move into Care One at the Cupola.
She passed away unexpectedly on April 6, at the young age of 74. She was beautiful, generous, funny, and spirited. She loved fiercely and with a full heart, and will be missed endlessly. She is survived by her husband, Barry, her daughter, Jaime, her stepchildren and grandchildren, her two siblings, and so many loving relatives and close friends. Graveside services will be private. The family will plan a celebration of life when
current gathering restrictions have been lifted. Please check edenmemorial.com for updates. Memorial contributions in Arleen's memory may be made to The American Lung Association.
