Obituary of Frances Wien

On Sunday September 13th, 2020, Fran Chertoff Wien, passed away peacefully at the age of 79. Fran was predeceased by her parents, Mollie and Alex Chertoff. Born and raised in Bayonne, Fran worked for the Bayonne Board of Education for 37 years, serving as a teacher, Vice Principal at Bayonne High School, and as principal of Henry E. Harris Elementary School. Fran will always be remembered for her love of family, friends, and the indelible impact she made on everyone she met. Fran is survived by her husband David, her daughters Erica Mercado and Stephanie Smith, her granddaughter Mollie Mercado, her son Todd Normane, her grandchildren Austin and Wyatt, many cousins, and numerous close friends. A graveside service will be held on September 16, 20020 at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, NJ at 1:30 PM. Shiva will be observed for 3 days, starting on September 16th at Chabad Short Hills, 650 S Orange Ave, Short Hills, NJ 07078.
