Obituary of Steven Winograd
Steven Winograd, age 71, of Elberon, NJ formerly of Jersey City, passed suddenly on December 5, 2021.
Loving brother and uncle, affectionately known as "Goo." Steven was a loyal and lifelong friend to those who grew up with him in Jersey City. His friends adored him for his quirky antics and unique sense of humor: he was truly "quick with a joke and a light of your smoke."
Steven was the consummate salesman. Throughout his lifelong career in commercial sales, he had a knack for making deals with sophisticated clients from all industries.
He was also an avid reader who enjoyed reliving the last half century of sports and pop culture history through biographies and nonfiction. In the summer, he dependably appeared at the Jersey Shore beaches with a copy of the New York Post, a bottle of seltzer, and a bag of pretzels. He generously treated his family to comp meals at the Atlantic City casinos, where he was well known.
Dear brother of Richard Winograd and his wife Audrey. Beloved uncle of Emily and her husband Ben Zion, and Amanda and her partner Alec.
Chapel service Wednesday 10 am at Eden Memorial Chapels, 327 Main Street Fort Lee, interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
