What a perfect photo to capture the essence of your dad ( and of course your mom and their essence together!!)
He was a very impressive man, doctor and to me, the father of my best friend in life, his daughter, Julie.
I will be forever grateful for whatever help he gave me in going from the waitlist at Mt Sinai Medical School to an admitted student. I must have done him proud because they chased after me in the residency match a few years later…
My only regret was that over the years I only heard about him through Julie and didn’t see him. I only heard how impressed she was to see how he fought his illnesses, to stay engaged in his art, his other interests and most importantly for his family and for Ellen, his, love.
You were all very blessed.
