My Daddy Howie. My Dear Old Dad (DOD). My best friend and the person I called for advice on life as a grownup. I miss you so much dad. It’s only been three days and it feels like a lifetime. I keep reaching for the phone to call you and then remembering. So I stopped myself and think about the good times. Many memories come back to me. I do remember waiting for you to come home from work when I was a young kid. I remember putting my hands under your shirt to warm them up on your fur. I remember a particular Thanksgiving that you were home with us for the holiday. It was a dreary dark day. We watched Godzilla while you cooked the turkey for dinner and Larry and I went through the Toys “R” Us catalog for hours that day. So many cherished memories to look back on. I know you’re with grandma, Uncle Steve, Aunt Jess, Rocky and Dexter. You are in a much better place. I will wait for the day that we meet again. I love you so much daddy.
