Leslie was my daughter's sixth grade teacher from 1995-96. She always talked about her over the years how amazing a teacher she was and was always there to lend a hand. Out of all the teachers at School 2 during that time, it was abundantly clear she was always in a class by herself. Fort Lee was lucky to have Leslue and she will be sorely missed. My deepest condolences to her whole family

I am writing this with a heavy heart 7,000 miles away in Shanghai. My deepest condolences and sympathy to the family of my favorite teacher. Growing up she taught me some of the most important lessons in life. I have never had the opportunity to visit post-elementary but Ms. Greenberg helped shape me to become who I am today. I will never forget the memories we shared in School No. 2 - 6th grade class of 1996.

So sorry for your loss. She taught my son Joseph in School No. 2 over twenty years ago and was always very nice and kind to speak to. My son loved her too. She was an asset to the Ft. Lee School system. Some teachers just stand out, she certainly did for us.

I feel fortunate to have been Ms. Greenberg's student. Her lessons follow me to this day. She always had her students (past and present) best interests in mind. I'd run into her as an adult yet she would easily remember me and ask what I was up to. We would talk for a few minutes, give me a hug and I would be like a little kid again happy that his teacher was proud of him. My sincere condolences and I will always have a special place in my heart for Ms. Greenberg.

Mrs. Greenberg was an incredible teacher, creative and passionate. No doubt she positively impacted many lives. I tell my children about the things I learned in her class, such as Hailey's comet and, of course, birds of prey, owls and their pellets! Stephanie, Jess, and family, deepest condolences for your loss.

Mrs. Greenberg was the teacher of my first year at school (I attended school #3). Of course it's been quite a while since I've been 5 years old, but I vividly remember and cherish some of the memories made in her classroom. Mrs.Greenberg really did love teaching, and more importantly, she loved each and every student. With a wild arrangement of toys, artifacts including animal skulls and bones, books, and even a pet gerbil, to this day she holds a place in my heart as the most dedicated teacher I've had the pleasure to study under. Come time for every holiday, she was extremely festive. I remember on easter, she decked the whole classroom in one-of-a-kind decor, where she dusted the floors and carefully imprinted huge bunny footprints. We were always engaged, there wasn't a dull moment yet we'd still be learning. She always held her Ohio pride and passed it on to some of us, as everytime we sang the alphabet and got to the letter "O," we'd all yell in unison "yay ohio!" I remeber her heating her daily Wendy's chili. Many people probably know this and have went through the same experience as I have, and this may seem like a recollection of memories. However I can say with honesty that I do not remember any memories from most of my grades, even in middleschool. The memories I made in those years are ones with friends, not with teachers. My time with Mrs.Greenberg may have been short, but that time is cherished. Of course, I only met Mrs.Greenburg the teacher, but just from meeting her as a teacher I can infer what a great family member she was; her abundance of passion and love overflew even into her job.I can recall my time with her with clarity, and I truely wish her peace.

I want to express my deepest condolences and sympathy for the family of my teacher. Mrs Greenberg was my 6th grade teacher at School 2 1977-1978. I later became a high school biology teacher. I did not have her gift and only taught for two years. As a teacher I can appreciate that in addition to being able to teach us and open up new worlds to us, she was also able to command our respect, without real discipline. We just loved her . My little tin soldiers she once said taking us to the auditorium . We did not feel like little people she was able to gain our admiration and love without being a disciplinarian and encouraged us to dream. I remember her asking us what we wanted to be after at the end of the year. My answer was that I wanted to be a pilot .A dream I hung on all through college getting my Biology degree. When I did not get a flight school slot I almost immediately knew that I wanted to teach because of teachers like Mrs. Greenberg . I loved my students but I loved Biology as well. She clearly just loved her students and helping them grow up. She will be sorely missed by all the students that she touched with her love and sense of humor. Warmest regards, Marko (Marko in love ! she used to say when I was daydreaming in her class) I was lucky

I am so deeply saddened to hear of Ms. Greenberg's passing. She was one of the greatest teachers I ever had in my entire education! I was also lucky enough to live in Mediterranean Towers with her where I over many years got to know her and her family outside of school. She was a wonderful woman who pushed me to be the best I could be and gave me encouragement and support becoming a part of my family!
I will forever be grateful to her for this and remember her for everything that she did for me!

My condolences. I would like the family to know, that Mrs. Greenberg was one of my most influential teachers growing up. She was a credit to herself, the Fort Lee School District, her family, and the thousands of students who she taught, year after year, over her 40 Year teaching career in Fort Lee. There's memories I have in her classroom that she taught me that I still implement in my life today and I will always remember her lessons taught.
Rest In Peace.
Sincerely,
Eddie Young
