Obituary of Harold Hellman

Hellman, Harold, 89, of Leonia on October 15, 2016. Born in the Bronx, NY, he was an army veteran of WW2. A graduate of Hunter College where he received his BA in Economics, he continued on to receive an MBA in Industrial Management from City College of NY and a Masters degree in Physics from Stevens Institute of Technology. He was a freelance science writer who published over 30 books on science and technology and countless articles in major science publications. Hal was also Adjunct Associate Professor of Science and Technical writing at NYU from 1982-1990 and lectured at such institutions as The Smithsonian Institute and the American Museum of Natural History. Beloved husband of the late Sheila Almer Hellman. Devoted father of Jill Hellman and Jennifer Hellman-Anderson and her husband Kelly. Cherished grandfather of Stephanie Rosenberg. Long time loving companion of Fay Klein.
