Roslyn Miriam Brown Koffs Goldstein January 21, 1928 - November 11, 2016 Roslyn was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and was married at the young age of 18 to Edward Koffs of Philadelphia Pennsylvania. There she was very active in the synagogue and sisterhood. She became widowed at the age of 30 with two small children. She remarried to Herman “Hank” Goldstein from New York City in 1959 and in 1961 gave birth to her third child. She became an accomplished and senior Court Reporter for the County of Rockland for twenty years. She worked on the most major murder trials the county has seen, including the famous Brinks trial. In addition she channeled her creativity and took much pride in her ceramics and stained glass. Her pride and joy has always been her family and the love of her life, Hank who passed in 2002. She is survived by her daughters; Robin Goldstein of Chevy Chase, Maryland, Janice Goldstein and daughter in-law, Charlene Androvett of Mahwah, NJ, her son Jeffrey of Colorado. Grandchildren Jenny & Eric Carr of Portland, Oregon, Erica Fretwell and Todd Carmody of Troy, NY and Andrew Fretwell and Jamie Maxner of Brooklyn, NY as well as her newest pride and joy, her great-grandson, Noam Steven Carmody of Troy, NY. Service at the Sanctuary of Abraham and Sarah on Sunday in Paramus, NJ at 12:30 PM.
